Product: Anchor — a Chrome extension for ChatGPT

Overview

Anchor prevents ChatGPT from auto-scrolling while you read older messages. This privacy policy explains what information Anchor handles and what it does not.

Anchor is designed to be privacy-minimal. It does not collect, sell, or share personal information, and it does not operate its own servers for user data.

Information we do not collect

Anchor does not collect, read, store, or transmit:

Anchor does not sell user data and does not share user data with third parties for advertising or marketing.

Information stored by the extension

Anchor stores only extension preference settings:

These preferences are stored using Chrome’s storage API (chrome.storage.sync). They are used only to remember your settings across browser sessions.

If Chrome Sync is enabled on your Google account, these preference settings can sync across your signed-in Chrome browsers through Google’s sync infrastructure. Anchor does not operate a separate sync backend.
